2022 Men’s Basketball Teams and Awards List
The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the 2021-2022 men’s basketball team awards winners for all ACC team members and award winners Monday morning. The All-ACC team was voted on by a 78-person panel consisting of the conference’s 15 coaches and 63 members of the media.
Alondes Williams from Wake Forest was named Best player in ACC by 41 votes, ten votes ahead of Armando Bacot of North Carolina (31 votes). Paolo Banchero won by Duke ACC Rookie of the YearHe received 71 out of 78 possible votes.
Wake Forest coach Steve Forbes has been named ACC Coach of the Yearand get more than half of the votes for the award.
Duke Mark Williams Center is ACC Defensive Player of the Year By 46 votes. Virginia’s guard, Rhys Beckman, was the runner-up for the award with 20 votes.
Derion Cebron of NC State won Most improved playerbeating Clemson’s PJ Hall by just five votes.
