ESPN presents over 3,400 games during the 2021-22 men’s college basketball season

ESPN will host more than 3,400 men’s college basketball games during the 2021-22 season. ESPN is gearing up to bring the best players, matches and stories to viewers across over 800 games on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ABC, ESPNEWS, SEC Network, ACC Network (ACCN), and now the Big 12 on ESPN+ and Longhorn Network (LHN). An additional 2,600 games will be available on ESPN3, SEC Network+, ACCNX and ESPN+ – including over 2,100 games on ESPN+ alone. With a combined schedule totaling more than 6,000 men’s and women’s basketball games throughout the season, ESPN Networks will provide unprecedented, high-level coverage of the sport to fans everywhere.

  • State Farm Classic Champions ESPN’s coverage of the long season will be broadcast with Michigan State against No. 3 Kansas and No. 9 Duke against No. 10 Kentucky at Madison Square Garden in New York on Tuesday, November 9, starting at 7 p.m. ET. Now in its eleventh year, the event features programs that have collected to win 18 national championships and have participated in 58 matches in the Final Four.

SEC Network will play over 100 men’s basketball games in the 2021-22 season. Regular business tips for the season on Tuesday, November 9 with a double header from SECN featuring Tennessee and Alabama. Over 30 non-conference related competitions have been scheduled for SECN before the start of multiplayer on Wednesday, December 29th with SEC’s Triple Header. The SEC Network’s Saturday four-headed signing returns on January 8 and runs through the end of the regular season on March 5. SEC Network will also feature live studio and event programming from the 2022 Men’s Basketball Tournament in Tampa, with early rounds at SEC Network and SEC now Providing Hero Week coverage from wall to wall. The 24/7 ACC Sports Network will broadcast more than 100 men’s basketball games, including 60 conference games. ACCN will be on hand for Coach Hubert Davis’ first appearance in North Carolina on opening night, November 9 (versus Loyola (Md.), 7 p.m.) and for Coach K’s final opening game against the Army on Friday, November 12 at the 7 conference play begins Friday, December 3 evening double-headed – Notre Dame at Boston College at 6pm, followed by Pete in Virginia at 8pm Saturday, December 4 featuring triple-headed starting at noon – Clemson in Miami, Wake Forest at Virginia Tech (2pm) and Syracuse in State Florida (4 pm). In addition to over 70 Big 12 conference games across ESPN, Big 12 Now on ESPN + There will be 75 men’s college basketball games this season, with all 12 multiple schools appearing on the podium during the season.

The Longhorn Network, the 24-hour ESPN network dedicated to the University of Texas, will broadcast 12 men’s basketball games during the 2021-22 basketball season. Three conference games will be shown on LHN this season and 29 total Texas games will be broadcast on ABC and ESPN. The season opener #5 Longhorns against the Houston Baptist on LHN (November 9, 8 p.m.) marked the beginning of Chris Bird’s reign in Texas. For more information click here.

In addition to Big 12 Now on ESPN+ games, 123 American Athletic Conference games will be shown alongside 2,000 college men’s basketball games from more than 20 conferences, including America East, Atlantic 10, ASUN, Big Sky and Big South and Big West Horizon, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Southern, Southland, WAC, and Ivy League. Additionally, for the first time, SECN+ and ACCNX exclusive games will be broadcast simultaneously on ESPN+.
