Williams recently started a podcast called “Chasing Majors” with golf journalist Evin Priest. The duo discuss a time when Williams carried a bag of goats and their journey toward each major win. Notably, Tiger has won 15 majors during his career and among them, Steve has stood on the right track with him in 13 of them.

Why Williams opened up about his relationship with Tiger Woods

This is the first time that Williams has ever broadcast a podcast. Therefore, it was a surprise when he suddenly started one, which deals with the period of his career Tiger. When Golf.com asked Steve why he intended to do so, he had a simple answer.

“My time with Tiger, it was such a great whirlwind that I never stopped smelling the roses,” Williams said. He explained that his career with Tiger has not been peaceful. However, he loves to relive those moments. Steve further added, “I’m just as obsessed with golf as we are all so I hope golf enthusiasts will enjoy it.”

Even though their working relationship ended abruptly, without any explanation from the golfer, Steve still respects Tiger. He said, “We were all very fortunate to witness what he achieved. I was just happy to be a part of him.”

Why did the couple cut ties?

Both Steve and Tiger have never revealed the real reason for their split. However, there were some rumors that Tiger fired Steve for carrying another golfer. The golfer has neither confirmed nor denied the story, so it would be impossible to determine if this was true.
