Cincinnati – La’el Collins’ visit with the Bengals is officially over and he will be leaving Cincinnati without a contract according to NFL Network’s Mike Garavolo.
“He is due to visit at least another team in the next couple of days,” Garavulo wrote on Twitter. “Sensei is still playing and will keep in touch with the former Cowboys hookman.”
The Patriots and Dolphins also expressed an interest in Collins. It is unclear why the Bengals have not signed him, but they would definitely love to have him on their squad.
“I’ve had a great relationship with LC. I love him to death. He definitely fits the glass-eating mould,” Bengals offensive coach Frank Pollack said on Friday. “Watch his tape, that’s clear. He’s bad and he was very fun to train. So we’ll see with all that stuff.”
Should Collins decide to sign for the Bengals, it would be an important upgrade in position to get the right intervention in their quest to protect Joe Burrow next season.
