Minnesota Wild come out with a big win on the road in Edmonton on Sunday, beating the Oilers 7-3.

The Ottawa Senator members played an uphill 60-minute battle against the New York Rangers on Sunday, but ultimately failed in a 2-1 loss.

How will these two teams face on Tuesday evening? Let’s see if we can find some value for the bet.

Minnesota Wild is very dangerous

Minnesota Wild may not be able to win the center division given the distance in the rankings between them and the Colorado Avalanche, but when it comes to playoff time, they won’t be an easy opponent.

They are 31-13-3 in the season and 3-2-0 in their last five games. One of the most impressive players on this list is the emergence of rookie striker Matt Boldy. Boldi joined the team in January and scored eight goals and eight assists in 16 games. He made an immediate impact and built remarkable chemistry with his colleague Kevin Fiala.

Boldy and Fiala aren’t the only reasons Wild has the third-best attack in the league and is averaging 3.81 goals per game for 32.3 shots on target. Kirill Kaprizov also leads the attack, having scored an impressive season with 23 goals and 39 assists in 46 games. He does something every time he goes out and is a major player to focus on.

Minnesota had a very strong goal from Cam Talbot and Kabo Kahkkonen, both of whom had their fair share of time in the blue paint. Kahkonen started off in his last game against Edmonton and stopped 30 of the 33 shots he faced. No Novice has been named, but I think Wild will be back with Kahkonen for this competition. He has a record 12-3-2 and .921 savings percentage as well as +5.7 goals saved above expected.

Senators in Ottawa are trying to stay in the competition

The Ottawa Senators’ playoff hopes completely evaporated, but they still entered every game with a competitive mindset. This is a very small roster that has rebuilt the past two seasons, but they have managed to beat some of the best teams in the league.

The Senus lost the last two games, but the two losses were by one goal difference against two very strong opponents, the Boston Bruins and New York Rangers. In these two games, the Senators struggled to attack as they scored three goals.

This came as no surprise as the Senators weren’t the strongest offensive team this season. They are currently ranked 25th, averaging 2.63 goals per game, but they do an average job of making an attack with 10.94 high-risk chances per 60.

Philip Gustafson should start with this. He did everything he could on Sunday to help his team win, stopping 31 of 33 shots against the Rangers, but an attacking struggle held them back. Gustavsson is 10-8-2 on the season with a 0.916 savings percentage and -4.2 GSAx.

Wild vs. Senator Beck

Minnesota is looking to carry the momentum it gained in Edmonton to Ottawa tonight. Sens are only allowed to have 50% of the capacity fans in the building, so the house ice feature is not a factor.

Ottawa is 9-15-2 on the house ice and wild, coincidentally, 15-9-2 on the trail. Minnesota is the best team in all aspects of the game and should be able to win this team easily in the organization.
